Waukee man arrested Wednesday on gun, drug-dealing charges

Tason Baby Conner, 37, of 75 Bel Aire Drive, Waukee, was arrested Wednesday in Waukee on charge of second-or-subsequent-offense possession of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm.

A Waukee man was arrested on gun and drug charges Wednesday after a search of his Waukee home.

Tason Baby Conner, 37, of 75 Bel Aire Drive, Waukee, was charged with second-or-subsequent-offense possession of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm.

Officers of the Waukee Police Department executed a search warrant at Conner’s Waukee residence about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

According to court records, the search uncovered “drugs and packaging material consistent with delivery.” Police also found “a firearm which was located under the defendant’s mattress,” and “a holster and ammunition were found among the defendant’s items also in the bedroom.”

Conner was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to posting a $10,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled to appear Dec. 30 in Dallas County District Court.

Conner was twice convicted of possession with intent to deliver in 1999 in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
