Waukee pair arrested Tuesday in alleged mutual assaults

A Waukee pair each faces domestic assault charges after a dispute in the home Tuesday morning turned physical.

Daniel B. Seeka, 29, of 1043 Maywood Lane, Waukee, was charged with domestic abuse assault-impeding flow of air/blood.

Lataye Doe, 26, of 1043 Maywood Lane, Waukee, was charged with second-offense domestic abuse assault.

The incident began about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Maywood Lane, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The female victim claimed that Seeka allegedly “had thrown her down and choked her on the ground,” according to court records.

The male victim told the officers that Doe allegedly “punched him in the face,” according to court records.

The officers observed on the male victim “a laceration above his right eye that was bleeding, and his eye was bloodshot,” according to court records.

Seeka is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.

Doe is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.

She was convicted of disorderly conduct in 2021 in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
