A Waukee woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly throwing knives at her boyfriend in the course of a domestic dispute.
Ella Rennee Freemont, 40, of 25 S.E. Windfield Parkway, Waukee, was charged with child endangerment with injury, domestic abuse assault with intent or displays a weapon and harass public officer or employee.
The incident began about 4:15 p.m. Saturday on Windfield Parkway, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance from a caller who said that “his girlfriend was throwing knives at him,” according to court records.
The officers made contact with Freemont, who said that she and a male “were arguing, and
she picked up knives and threw them at him while he was sitting on the couch but did not hit him,” according to court records.
Freemont told the officers that “her son was sitting in the kitchen when she threw the knives,” according to court records.
While being transported to the Dallas County Jail, Freemont allegedly told an officer “that she wished she knew where” the officer “lived,” according to court records.
Freemont is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in the Dallas County District Court.
Freemont was convicted of assault in 2008 in Harrison County District Court.
