A Waukee woman allegedly assaulted her boyfriend early Sunday, striking him with a firearm and driving him naked from the residence.
Kylie Morgan Kurtz, 22, of 353 N.E. Sandalwood, Waukee, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of N.E. Sandalwood in Waukee, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance and found the victim standing outside the residence “without clothing on,” according to court records.
The officers observed that the victim “had visible injuries,” including a “visible welt on his forehead, bruising and redness on his shoulder and bruising on his thigh,” according to court records.
The victim told the officers that an argument occurred, and Kurtz “hit him with closed fists and had thrown items at him,” including “a firearm.”
The officers made contact with Kurtz, who “admitted to throwing the items,” according to court records, and she admitted that she “pulled” the victim’s “hair at a party and pulled him off of a bar stool earlier in the night.”
Kurtz was held in the Dallas County Jail before she was released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Jan. 29 in Dallas County District Court.
