Week adds 10 more positive cases in ADM schools

Ten people in the Adel-De Soto-Minburn Community School District have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, since Thursday, Nov. 19, according to communications from ADM Superintendent Greg Dufoe.

The positive cases included two students at Adel Elementary School, two staff members at Adel Elementary School, three students at ADM Middle School, two students at ADM High School and one non-building-assigned staff member.

In addition, five people were quarantined as close contacts of the infected students and staff members.

The ADM Community School District had about 1,900 students enrolled in 2019, with about 500 in the high school. The district’s ongoing virus-mitigation strategies can be reviewed on the ADM dashboard.
