Eleven-year-old Katelyn Brown of Perry, who was injured in last week’s tragic car accident west of Dawson, is being released Tuesday from Blank Hospital in Des Moines, and her many friends and well wishers in the community have planned a socially distanced welcome home for her.
Katelyn’s little brother, Eli, 4, was treated and released last week.
The Brown family lives in the 1700 block of Third Street between Dewey Avenue and North Street. Community supporters are invited to drive past the Brown home beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Motorists are advised to drive north on Third Street and turn east (right) on North Street in order to allow traffic to flow smoothly and safely. Well wishers should stay in their vehicles.
