Allyson Lynn Schultz, 22, of West Des Moines was arrested Thursday on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

A West Des Moines woman was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Thursday in connection with a November incident in which she allegedly bit a West Des Moines man.

Allyson Lynn Schultz, 22, of 1770 92nd St., West Des Moines, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

The incident occurred Nov. 23 about 1:15 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Des Moines, where Schultz allegedly engaged in “shoving” the victim, “causing pain to his leg,” and “biting” the victim,” causing “pain and marks to his arm,” according to court records.

Schultz is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Jan. 31 in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
