Westbound Willis to close half-day at hotel Wednesday

The hotel/motel tax generates revenues of more than $100,000 annually, with four-sevenths of the tax dollars going to the Perry Chamber of Commerce for use on advertising, tourism promotion and grants to non-profits.

The westbound lane of Willis Avenue between First Avenue and Second Street will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. while heavy equipment is used in front of the Hotel Pattee.
