A portion of Willis Avenue will be closed beginning Saturday at about 8 a.m. as the Perry Volunteer Fire Department conducts a training fire at 2402 Willis Ave.
During the length of the training session, Willis Avenue will be closed to vehicles between 13th and 15th streets, and 14th Street will be closed between Willis and Otley avenues, according to a fire department spokesperson.
The training fire will take place at 2402 Willis Ave. at a house badly damaged by fire seven weeks ago. The controlled burn should last several hours, the spokesperson said.
