Visiting Winterset shot the second, third, fourth and fifth lowest individual scores at the Perry Golf and Country Club Thursday, results which lifted the Huskies to a 170-176 victory.

Perry senior Noah Wilkening returned to form with a one-over par 37 to capture medalist honors, with Winterset’s Jack West shooting a two-over 38 for runner-up medalist recognition.

Chilly and windy conditions did not appear to adversely effect Wilkening, as the senior finished with four pars and three bogeys, while collecting birdies on the sixth and eighth holes.

Luke Rathje and Connor Nielsen each had rounds of 46 for the Bluejays, with Tanner Duffy providing a 47. Round of 54 from Dane MCarty and of 54 from Gabe Ridnour were not used for the Perry team total.

Chase VanWerden had a 43, Layne Kincade a 44 and Ty Gilliland a 45 for the guests. Also playing for the Huskies were Lucas Russell (46) and Gavin Milledge (55).

Winterset was an easy 200-282 victor among junior varsity players.

Brady Iben (58), Kade Kilmer (67), Emilio Gonzalez (74) and Dakota Strough (83) scored for the Bluejay JV.

Perry hosts their annual 18-hole invitational Saturday and will join the Jayette golfers in hosting the Witmer-Dunphy Coed Invitational Monday.
