A Winterset woman was arrested at an Adel campground Saturday afternoon after she allegedly struck a man in the face.
Shirley Diane Holker, 63, of 2581 Carver Road, Winterset, was charged with simple assault.
The incident began about 2:45 p.m. Saturday outside a camper at the Island Park campground in Adel, where officers of the Adel Police Department and Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a disturbance.
Officers investigated and determined that Holker allegedly “did slap the victim” with “the back of her hand to his face,” according to court records.
Holker allegedly struck the victim because “the victim’s vehicle was blocking” Holker’s vehicle. She “admitted to slapping the victim,” according to court records.
Holker is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
