A medical emergency at the boys basketball practice Wednesday has resulted in a W-G student being Life-flighted to a Des Moines hospital.

TREYNOR — The Woodward-Granger and Woodward Academy track teams competed Thursday in their Class 2A state qualifying meet.

Abby Musser placed second and earned an automatic spot in both the 100 and 400 hurdles for W-G, with the Hawk boys securing a place at state in the medley relay (team names n/a).

Terence Lewis won both the 100 and 200 sprints for the Woodward Academy to move on, with the Knights to send both their 4×100 and 4×200 quartets to Drake Stadium.

All three teams may have other qualifiers earn one of 12 at-large spots available in each event, but with one 2A meet postponed until today (Friday) the final list of 2A qualifiers will not be known until late in the evening.

Times from the above events were not provided.
