BOONE, Iowa — The DeShon Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in Boone recently bestowed its 2020-2021 DAR Good Citizen Award to Olivia, a senior at Woodward-Granger High School.

“Congratulations, Olivia!” said DeShon Chapter Regent Barb McDougall. “The DAR Good Citizens program is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. Each student selected as a school’s DAR Good Citizen exemplifies the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.”

McDougall said the DeShon Chapter’s bylaws allows nominations by first name only.
