Woodward man allegedly floods Woodward woman with calls, texts

Brandon James Wendt, 39, of Woodward was arrested Saturday on a charge of third-degree harassment.

A Woodward man was arrested Saturday after allegedly harassing a Woodward women with numerous unwanted phone calls and text messages.

Brandon James Wendt, 39, of 302 Birch Ave., Woodward, was charged with third-degree harassment.

The incident began Jan. 27, when the victim left the shared residence in the 500 block of Birch Street, after which Wendt allegedly “began calling and texting her relentlessly” until the victim told Wendt that “she wanted no more contact with him,” according to court records.

Wendt was “also given a warning by an officer last week about not having contact with” the victim, who “is in fear for her safety,” according to court records.

Wendt allegedly “ignored the request and continued calling and texting multiple times on a daily basis,” according to court records.

Wendt was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a pretrial conference March 4 in Dallas County District Court.

Wendt was convicted of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon in 2024 in Boone County District Court.
