A Woodward man faces an assault charge after he allegedly grabbed a woman by the wrist Sunday night.
Blake Alan Brewer, 30, of 606 S. Main St., Woodward, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of S. Main Street, where officers of the Woodward Police Department and Dallas County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
Investigators determined that Brewer allegedly “grabbed” the victim’s “right wrist, causing her pain in her wrist,” according to court records.
Brewer is held in the Dallas County Jail without bond in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
