An employee at the local moviehouse in Perry called the Perry Police Department about 8:30 p.m. Friday and said a woman had “pulled into the no-parking area facing the wrong direction.”
The caller “said the woman wanted to go into the movie,” and she “went back out to her vehicle, bought a ticket” and “went into the movie, leaving the vehicle parked in the no-parking area.”
An officer responded, and Alexis Antoinette Singletary, 18, 1115 W. Eighth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse-simple assault.
The circumstances leading to Singletary’s arrest are unknown at this time.
