  • An officer of the Perry Police Department taught a DARE program at the Perry Elementary School.
  • A caller said “he just saw” a vehicle “dump a bunch of personal belongings in front of” a Perry long-term care facility. An officer responded and did not find the dumping vehicle but “did locate the personal property,” but it was “unknown who it could belong to.” The officer determined the property “will be left there to see if it is picked up.”
  • A caller said she was with a woman who “dropped her cup and was very quiet.” The caller said she was “not sure if she was responsive.” The Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • A caller from the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines said she has a patient “needing to report domestic violence.” The patient said someone “put hands on her” and “choked her.” An officer responded, and the caller said “she would be here in 30 minutes,” but the caller “did not show up during the day shift.”
  • A caller said his dog was lost. The caller called again and said his dog was found.
  • Two people entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and asked to speak with an officer “about what constitutes harassment.” They said “they were having issues with family members.” An officer responded.
  • A caller requested a welfare check on a coworker. An officer responded but was not able to make contact with the person. The caller was directed “to call if she does not hear from him again tomorrow.”
