  • An officer responded to a residential burglary alarm activation at 1407 Westwood Drive. The homeowner accidentally tripped the alarm, and all was fine.
  • A local retail store requested an officer to inform a juvenile male from Jefferson and his parent that he is no longer welcome at the business, located at 106 W. Washington St. The business had attempted to work with the juvenile on his unacceptable behavior in the store, but it continued.
  • A local retail store reported a gas drive-off from 508 N. Elm St. after a female left without paying for her fuel in the amount of $37.59. The store provided an officer with video of the event and the female’s name. The officer is working to contact the female.
  • A caller reported a small dog running at large in the 200 block of S. Chestnut Street. An officer did not locate the animal.
  • Officers assisted the Greene County Ambulance near Madison and High streets with a medical call.
  • A caller advised of a dog running at large near Madison and Vine streets. An officer arrived and found an owner retrieving the animal and spoke to the owner about the ordinance issues.
  • A caller spoke with an officer about a neighbor’s dog defecating on his property and not being cleaned up by the owner.
  • Mark Rasmussen reported his two dogs got loose from 1701 Westwood Drive and he was looking for them.
  • An anonymous caller spoke with an officer about possible drug activity occurring in town.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
