GRANGER — Saturday’s heat-busting thunderstorms wiped out more than the humidity, as it also caused the postponement of the Class 2A District 12 Final.
Woodward-Granger (23-7) will now host Des Moines Christian (26-8) Monday at 7 p.m.
The winner will play in Tuesday’s Substate 6 Final in Nevada at 7 p.m. Roland-Story (19-18) stunned host and third-ranked Dike-New Hartford (28-6), 7-5, in Saturday’s District 11 Final.
W-G was a 10-0 winner over R-S in five innings in Granger July 9, with Brandon Worley holding the Norsemen to just four hits while striking out six.
