September 16, 2019

  • A Boone County Deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at the old Howe Elementary School building. The building was secure. The alarm was determined to be false.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a two-vehicle accident involving minor property damage.
  • Accura Health requested an officer’s assistance in returning a resident who walked away. The resident and a CNA were walking back to the facility upon the officer’s arrival.
  • An employee of a retail store turned over a wallet that a customer left on the counter. An officer returned the wallet to owner.
  • An Ogden resident said someone was using an email address that was very close to the resident’s name and was sending emails to her contacts, asking them for iTunes cards and requesting pictures of the front and back of the cards for the number. This is a scam that is going around.
  • A Boone County Deputy assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at an Ogden residence.

  • An officer investigated a property issue.

  • An officer investigated a reckless-driver complaint on 220th Street east of Ogden.
  • A Boone County Deputy assisted a stranded motorist at 222 W. Walnut St.
  • A Boone County Deputy investigated a protective order violation at 443 E. Sycamore St.
  • A Boone County Deputy assisted a stranded motorist at 125 W. Maple St.

September 18, 2019

  • An officer investigated vandalism to a vehicle at 313 S.W. Sixth St.
  • An officer investigated a suspicious vehicle at 801 W. Division St.
  • A Boone County Deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 300 block of W. Sycamore Street.
  • A Boone County Deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 300 block of W. Cherry Street.

September 19, 2019

  • An officer assisted an Iowa Department of Human Services case worker.
  • An officer assisted a Nevada Police Department Officer attempting to locate an Ogden resident.

September 20, 2019

  • An officer and a Boone County Deputy assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance with an 72-year-old person feeling ill at the Ogden High School football game.
  • A Boone County Deputy received a report of a three small children walking in the 400 block of N. First Street. The deputy located the children, and they were looking for their mother. The mother showed up while deputy was speaking with children.

September 21, 2019

  • An officer stood by while a female removed belongings from an Ogden residence.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance.

September 22, 2019

  • An officer observed a resident of the Accura Health Center walking alone in the 300 block of E. Walnut Street. The officer contacted Accura Health and asked whether resident was supposed to be out walking by himself. The officer learned the resident was not to be out, and the officer was asked to bring resident back to the facility. The officer gave the resident a ride back to Accura Health.
  • An officer was asked to check the welfare of a female who was supposedly at an Ogden residence. The female had left the residence prior to officer’s arrival.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
