Perry welcomed NCMP (Newton) and Oskaloosa to the McCreary Community Building pool for a double dual Tuesday, with the hosts splitting their duels.

Perry was a 76-73 winner over Oskaloosa, with NCMP topping Perry, 108-44, and Oskaloosa, 114-46. The format calls for each team to be scored independently against each opponent.

The hosts were third in NCMP and first against Oskaloosa in each of the three relay events. The Jayette foursome of Grace Phillips, Amanda Holwegner, Sarah Vaughn and Avery Miner finished the 200 medley in 2 minutes, 22.35 seconds, with Holwegner, Miner, Hailey Meacham and Jaylene Karolus posting a 2:04.48 in the 200 free. Miner, Vaughn, Phillips and Karolus capped the meet with a 4:36.94 in the 400 free.

Karolus was a double winner in the 100 butterfly with a clocking of 1:09.62, with the sophomore second to NCMP and first against Oskaloosa in the 200 individual medley in 2:28.98.

Vaughn bested both foes in the 500 free in 6:22.58, with Holwegner 2/1 and Phillips second to Oskaloosa in the 50 free with times of 29.41 and 31.7, respectively while Meacham was 3/3 in the 200 free in 2:43.83.

Miner was 3/1 in the 100 free (1:08.83), Phillips 3/1 in the 100 backstroke (1:18.76) and Holwegner 3/2 in the 100 breaststroke (1:27.8).

Perry visits Grinnell Tuesday. The meet will be held in the Grinnell College pool and begin at 7 p.m. The Jayettes return home Oct. 15 when they host Atlantic and Spencer for a double dual.
