Woodward-Granger's Tate Lettow runs wide in a game last season. Lettow ran for 228 yards and five touchdowns Friday.

WOODWARD — Tate Lettow and Worth Henry both had memorable games Friday as Woodward-Granger — the visitor on the scoreboard — trounced Woodward Academy, 60-6, for a Class 1A District 7 victory.

Senior tailback Lettow went off for 228 rushing yards on 23 carries and visited the end zone five times while junior Henry intercepted two passes, returning one 55 yards for a touchdown and the other 80 yards for a score.

Their efforts helped lift W-G to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in district play while Woodward Academy remains winless on the year.

W-G opened a 20-0 lead after the first 12 minutes of action and held a 48-6 halftime advantage. That created a continuous clock, with the Hawks finding pay dirt once in each of the final two quarters to cap the scoring.

In addition to the two Henry pick-sixes, W-G had Reese Jamison and Kade Polich each fall on a fumble. Jamison led the defense with 8.5 total tackles.

Polich rushed for 52 yards on 10 carries and scored twice, with Jamison adding 38 yards on five rushes while John McKeever (4-20) and Dylan Bird (1-1) also carried the pigskin.

Jamison was 4-of-8 for 62 yards passing, with Bryce Achenbach catching two passes for 50 yards and Polich two for 12.

W-G will host Pleasantville (4-2, 1-1) for their Homecoming game Friday at 7 p.m. The Trojans fell to Pella Christian, 54-13, in week six action.
