September 30, 2019

  • A two-wheel kick-and-go Razor scooter was turned in at the Ogden City Hall.

October 1, 2019

  • An officer responded to a lifeline going off at an Ogden residence. The resident set it off accidentally while cleaning.

October 2, 2019

  • An officer responded to a panic alarm at an Ogden residence. This was set off accidentally by the resident.
  • An officer received a complaint of theft of property from a landlord by a renter.
  • An Ogden resident reported a soon-to-be-ex-family member was on her cellular plan and won’t return the cellular phone. An officer advised this is a civil issue.
  • An Ogden resident reported a barking dog at a residence. An officer could hear no dog barking upon his arrival.

October 3, 2019

  • An officer assisted someone locked out of vehicle.
  • An Ogden resident reported smelling an odor they believed to be marijuana in the hallway of an apartment building. An officer could smell nothing in the hallway, and nobody would come to the door at apartment.
  • An officer assisted someone locked out of vehicle.
  • An officer received a report of an emu walking in traffic at 230th Street and H Avenue. The emu entered the corn field on the north side of 230th Street west of H Avenue and continued west. The officer was unable to catch the bird and lost sight of the bird when it crossed over into a bean field.
  • An officer received a complaint of a sick raccoon. The officer dispatched and disposed of the animal.
  • A Boone County Deputy responded to a report of a possible violation of protective order. The suspect was gone upon the deputy’s arrival.

October 4, 2019

  • An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Ogden Farm/Feed. This was set off by an employee as he was opening the store.
  • An officer received a complaint of a small dog running loose in the 500 block of W. Walnut Street. The officer found the dog outside of its residence in the 600 block of W. Walnut Street and notified the owner that the dog had been running off the property and needed to be tied up when outside.
  • An officer received a complaint about people burning trash. The officer spoke with people with a small recreational fire who also threw plastic bottles and food containers in the fire. The officer directed the people to take the bottles out of the fire and warned that trash cannot be burned.
  • A Boone County Deputy was asked to make contact with an Ogden resident regarding the resident’s having left an Ames establishment without paying for merchandise.
