Three members of the Perry football team, five individuals from the Jayette swim team and the team as a whole were all recently honored for their academic successes.
Gridders Jacob Nelson, Collin Malmberg and Zach Darr attained All-Academic honors in Class 3A District 2. Requirements include being a junior or senior and posting a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Sarah Vaughn, Avery Miner, Jaylene Karolus, Gracie Phillips and Hailey Meacham earned swimming all-academic recognition. Students in grades 10-12 who earn a varsity letter and have a minimum GPA of 3.25 are honored.
The Jayette swimmers were also awarded an IGHSAU Distinguished Academic Achievement award for a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25.
Matt Hardy is the football head coach, with Jean Dowd head coach for the swim team.
