Five members of the Perry wrestling team and two of their managers were recently recognized for their success in the classroom.
Jacob Nelson, Cole Snyder, Zach Darr, Tanner Burgin, and Cole Nelson were all named to the Raccoon River Conference All-Academic team. Students must be at least a sophomore, earn a varsity letter, and have a GPA of at least 3.25 on an 4.0 scale.
In addition to the quintet of matmen, team managers Cassidy Heck and Myka Meri also earned RRC All-Academic recognition.
The Bluejays are coached by Mark Weber, with Alan Brasch, Nick Field, Eric Morman, J.P. Hulgan and Jackson VanKirk assisting.
