PANORA — Senior Awards Night at Panorama High School is scheduled for May 13, with graduation to be held on May 17.
Both are, of course, subject to the school being in session at the time. With uncertainty about the COVID-19 pandemic impact still swirling, the Panorama School Board this week announced tentative backup dates for both events, insisting that, one way or another, both would eventually be held.
The first reserve dates are June 17 and 21 for awards night and graduation, with July 15 and 19 the second set of possible dates. August 12 and 16 were also reserved in the event circumstances would delay the celebrations three months.
Prom was originally tabbed for April 25 but has now been moved to June 27.
Individual photos will be taken from 4-5:30 p.m. in the auditorium, with the grand march beginning at 6 p.m. Group class pictures will follow immediately after the grand march on the auditorium stage, so students are asked to remain on site.
Guests will then be free to eat on their own, with the dance itself held from 9-11 p.m. in the middle school gym. Music will be provided by a DJ.
Students are reminded that once they leave the dance they will not be allowed to re-enter.
More information will be released by school email as necessary.
