Motorists on First Avenue (Iowa Highway 144) will encounter traffic-control devices north of Willis Avenue this week as concrete patching and repairs begin.

The orange cones are part of the “minor disruptions to traffic” that will accompany the work done by Des Moines Asphalt and Paving. The disruptions will be limited primarily to daytime hours only, according to the Perry City Hall.

Work on Iowa Highway 144 is fully funded by the Iowa Department of Transportation. The 60-block overlay project on Perry’s side streets will be paid for with Local Option Sales Tax and Road Use Tax funds.

For more information, call the Perry City Hall at 515-465-2481 or Jacob Ahrens with Bolton and Menk Inc. at 515-233-6100.
