A Simpson College graduate, Coy was born and raised in Jewell, where he attended high school at South Hamilton.

Current Bluejay and Jayette cross country head coach Ryan Marzen will move from assistant to head coach for the Bluejay thinclads next season.

Coy told ThePerryNews.com he was grateful for the opportunities he was given at Perry and noted he would miss interacting with the students. He will be changing careers and leaving the field of education.
