
MANNING — Woodward-Granger raced to an 6-0 lead after three innings Wednesday en route to an 11-3 non-conference win at IKM-Manning.
W-G (3-0) plated a trio of runs in both the second and third frames, with each team scoring twice in the fourth and once in the fifth. A final pair of runs from the Hawks in the top of the seventh capped the scoring.
Reese Jamison continued his torrid start to the season for W-G by smacking two doubles and launching a home run. He scored once and drove in three runs.
Trevor Simmons had two hits and a RBI, with Worth Henry producing a pair of singles while Caden Easter hit a triple to help fuel the offense.
Nate Rosen struck out two in two innings of work, with Justin Wheeler yielding two runs (one earned) on one hit while striking out two and hitting one batter. Hunter Keubler went 1-2/3 frames, striking out one and walking two while yielding a run, with Brody Nardini pitching for four outs while allowing two hits and striking out one.
