Des Moines Asphalt and Paving began the re-striping process on First Avenue Wednesday, the city of Perry announced, and residents were again thanked for their patience.
After re-striping is completed, First Avenue will be reopened to traffic with the conversion from four lanes to three lanes.
The contractor will soon return to adjust the manholes. Minor traffic disruptions might take place during this time.
