PANORA — An outstanding effort on the bump from Preston Walker carried the host Panorama baseball team to a 3-1 win over Ogden Tuesday.
The Panthers (6-2, 5-2) claimed the WCAC outing behind a seven-inning one-hitter from Walker, who issued a pair of walks and hit one batter while striking out four.
The hosts scored once in the third and twice in the fifth to grab a 3-0 lead, with Ogden (6-4, 4-2) plating a single run in their final at-bat.
Scott Westberg doubled and scored on a Kaden Moorman sacrifice fly to account for the Bulldog run.
Evan Taylor had a single, double, run and RBI for the home team, with Luke South adding two hits and a RBI. Drew Taylor had a single and a RBI, with Jack Weinkoetz providing a single. Malachi Peasley scored twice after reaching on two hits and a walk, with Austin Block scoring the other Panther run.
Dylan Elbert threw 5-2/3 innings for Ogden, allowing three runs on seven hits while fannign two. Westberg walked two while retiring one batter.
Panorama is home for a Thursday meeting with Interstate-35, with West Central Valley visiting Panora Friday.
