DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 816 at about 1 p.m Thursday, July 23. In Dallas County, 34 deaths have been reported.
The total for positive cases statewide stands at 40,539, including 1,615 in Dallas County.
Of Iowa’s population of 3.1 million people, 436,771 have been tested, about 1.4% of the population.
