COVID-19 deaths in Iowa rise to 884, positive cases at 45,865

DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 884 at about 10 p.m Monday, Aug. 3. In Dallas County, 35 deaths have been reported.

The total for positive cases statewide stands at 45,865, including 1,789 in Dallas County.

Of Iowa’s population of 3.1 million people, 489,098 have been tested, about 1.5% of the population.
