October 30, 2020

  • Juan A. Patino, 28, of 2419 College Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled or revoked.
  • Ashley K. Heston, 25, of 2320 Hart Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft.
  • Jeremy J. Frame, 21, of 320 Nile Kinnick Drive N., Adel, was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation on an original charge of third-offense possession of a controlled substance.
  • Mason Shafer, 21, of 714 W. Eighth St., Appleton, Wisconsin, was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
  • Austin Krizek, 24, of 732 State St., Menasha, Wisconsin, was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
  • Nicholas Beisner, 22, of 739 W. Eighth St., Appleton, Wisconsin, was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
  • A juvenile from Adel was traveling westbound on 312th St when the driver attempted to turn onto Meadow Road and lost control of the vehicle, which rolled onto its side in the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $7,500 damage.

October 31, 2020

  • Hector Avila, 25, of 2712 N. Rutherford Ave., Chicago, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Mohammed Al-Hadidi, 21, of 5249 N. Laramie St., Chicago, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Sabrina Taylor, 22, of 19 E. Washington St., Des Plaines, Illinois, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Patrick Filipkowski, 19, of 4414 N. Neehah Ave., Harwood Heights, Illinois, was arrested for controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug stamp, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Lynn Fogt of West Des Moines was traveling westbound on 240th Street when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

November 1, 2020

  • Kathryn L. Ankrum, 36, of 502 Milwaukee St., Madrid, was arrested for first-offense OWI.
  • Savannah Ashby of Guthrie Center was traveling southbound in the 28000 block of El Paso Avenue when her vehicle struck a deer. A vehicle traveling behind Ashby’s vehicle, driven by Tara Leporte of Earlham, also struck the deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to Ashby’s car was estimated at $500, and damage to Leporte’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
  • Sao Sheriff of Sioux Falls, S.D., was traveling westbound near the 114 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when his vehicle hit a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
  • Brian Anderson of Woodward was traveling northbound on W Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

November 2, 2020

  • Michael S. Neubauer, 36, of 4146 E. Seneca Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled or revoked.
  • William Briggs of Pentwater, Michigan, was traveling eastbound near the 108 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when his vehicle hit a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
