Santa Claus closed out his busy day in Dallas County Saturday by turning on the Woodward Christmas tree at 6 p.m. after greeting visitors in the Woodward Community Center.
After leading the townsfolks in a countdown from 10 to one, Santa wished everyone a happy holiday season before sleighing away into the night with his green-clad elfin assistant.
“What a wonderful thing it is to live in a small town!” said Woodward booster Rocky Delp. “We lit our beautiful Christmas tree tonight with a good turn out!”
The annual event was sponsored by the city of Woodward, Flowers by Donna Jean and the Woodward Lions Club.
