Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks has announced that one student at the Perry High School and two students at the Perry Elementary School tested positive Monday for SARS-CoV-2, the virus causes COVID-19.
In addition, 15 close contacts of the students were placed in quarantine, Wicks said. The school district currently has seven active cases.
All students and families in contact with the students have been notified, he said, and all other students can attend classes as normal.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus has infected 49 students and 19 staff members since classes began Aug. 19 in the PCSD, according to communications from the PCSD. The list of cases follows.
