A single tally in the first frame and three more in their second helped lift visiting Carlisle to a 7-2 win over Perry in the season and Raccoon River Conference openers for both Monday.
The Wildcats added two tallies in the fourth to take a 6-0 lead, but the Jayettes got on the board when Jayna Kenney singled and was later doubled home by Kennedy Tunink in the bottom of the inning.
The hosts trailed, 7-1, when Lydia Olejniczak doubled and later scored off a Macy Killmer ground out to account for the final scoring in the game.
Tunink added a single to her double, with Jasmine Shriver also adding a base hit.
Kenney tossed all seven frames for the home team. She allowed seven runs (two unearned) on 10 hits, a walk and one hit batsman. The junior recorded two strikeouts.
Perry plays host Boone Wednesday.
