PANORA — The Panorama softball team held off Woodward-Granger for a 9-6 win Wednesday after the Panthers fell to Saydel, 4-3, in their season opener Tuesday.

Panorama opened a 9-2 lead after three frames against W-G en route to the WCAC victory.

Grace Richey was touched for six runs (one earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out two in collecting the win from the ring.

Shey Storesund had a single and a home run, driving in two runs and scoring twice while stealing two bases. Claire Woodworth had two RBIs on a home run and a single, with Jaidyn Sellers adding a single, triple, two steals, three RBIs and two runs. Richey had two hits, with Jazmyn Sellers, Lindy Nelson, Zoey Hambleton, and Grace Webner also recording singles. Webner also stole two bases and scored twice.

Rian Jamison yielded nin eruns on 12 hits for W-G. She struck out three, walked three, and hit one batter.

Brylee Bice hit a solo home run, with Chloe Houge adding two hits while Bella McDivitt had two singles, a double and two runs scored to help lead the guests.

Saydel scored three runs in the top of the fifth to rally from a 3-1 hole to win Tuesday’s non-conference matchup.

Richey allowed four runs on 10 hits and a walk. She hit one batter and struck out one.

Jaidyn Sellers, Jazmyn Sellers and Hambleton had singles for the home team, with Nelson smacking a double. Hambleton, Richey and Webner had RBIs, with each Sellers sister joined by Avery Bahrenfuss in scoring runs.
