What has become an annual holiday tradition will be held again this year as the Perry Booster Club’s Tinsel Trot 5K returns Nov. 27.
The fun will begin and end at Raccoon Valley Bank in downtown Perry, with registrations beginning at 10 a.m. and the Trot to start at 10:30 a.m. Those who register before Nov. 14 will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Walk-up registrations at the even will be accepted. Online registrations are now open.
Cost for adults is $30 and is $20 for students. Prizes will be awarded, both adult and student, for “Most Festive” outfits.
Paper registrations are now available at Perry High School, Perry Middle School, SNAP Fitness, Ben Franklin and Perry Perk. Checks are to be made payable to Perry Booster Club and can be mailed to Perry Booster Club, P.O. Box 325, Perry, IA 50220.
The event will be held regardless of weather. Refunds will not be issued in the event that travel is not recommended.
