A Perry man was arrested Christmas Eve after he was allegedly found in the company of the subject of a no-contact order.

Devon Austin John Ladehoff, 23, of 2833 Eastern Ave., Perry, was charged with violation of a no-contact order.

The incident began about 5:30 p.m. Friday, when a patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department allegedly observed a 2000 Lincoln Towncar run a stop sign at Otley Avenue and 17th Street.

The officer then observed “a white male with long, brown hair run from the vehicle,” according to court records. The officer recognized the fleeing male “as the protected party of an active no-contact order.”

The driver of the Lincoln then allegedly “attempted to evade” the patrolling officer “by making erratic turns” before eventually stopping in a parking lot in the 2700 block of Willis Avenue and “turning off all of the lights,” according to court records.

The officer determined that the driver of the vehicle was Ladehoff, and a witness “positively identified the protected party that fled from the vehicle,” according to court records.

Ladehoff is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a hearing Jan. 28 in Dallas County District Court.

Ladehoff was arrested in Perry Dec. 19 on a charge of first-offense OWI. The case is pending in Dallas County District Court.
