Granger couple arrested for alleged mutual assaults

A Granger couple was arrested Monday evening after allegedly assaulting one another.

Ali Marie Dunlavey, 20, of 1600 Linden St., Granger, was charged with domestic abuse assault.

The incident began about 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Linden Street, where an officer of the Granger Police Department was conducting a welfare check and discovered “a domestic that had taken place,” according to court records.

Dunlavey allegedly “forced her way in to the bathroom and started pushing and hitting Jordan Greear,” who allegedly “punched Ali Dunlavey in the right eye, causing a bruising and swelling,” according to court records.

“Both parties admitted to being involved in a physical altercation with each other,” according to court records.

Greear and Dunlavey are each held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of initial appearances in Dallas County District Court.

Greear was arrested Dec. 2 in Madrid on charges of violation of a no-contact order and interference with official acts. He was convicted of first-offense domestic abuse assault Dec. 7 in Boone County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
