Eight volunteers put in time Friday to prepare and paint the new Perry Food Pantry, located one-half block east of the pantry’s current site.

The pantry is moving out of the old nursing home and into the cottages off 28th Street, now a part of the Perry Lutheran Homes Eden Acres.

“The Perry Food Pantry is extremely grateful for the dedicated volunteers and donors on this relocation process,” said Volunteer Coordinator Lois Hoger.

Joining Hoger in preparing and painting Friday were volunteers Bill and Iris Coffin, Pantry board member Gus Henrici, Pantry Site Manager Lou Hoger, Pantry Treasurer Carol Johnson and volunteers Kathy Miner and Chuck Schott.
