Perry man arrested after allegedly kicking wife out of bed

A Perry man was arrested Monday after allegedly pulling his wife’s hair and kicking her out of bed.

Francisco Mora, 29, of 1816 Warford St., Perry, was charged with third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault, violation of a no-contact order and as a fugitive from justice.

The incident began about 1 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Warford Street, where officers of the Perry Police department responded to a 911 call.

The victim told the officers that Mora “pulled her hair” after “kicking her out of bed,” according to court records.

The officers observed on the victim “a small bruise on her left thigh,” according to court records.

Mora is held without bond in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.

Mora was convicted of domestic abuse assault twice in 2017 in California, according to court records. He was the subject of a no-contact order issued in August 2021 in Glendale, California, and in effect until August 2031 and the subject of an active arrest warrant for probation violation.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
