A New Virginia woman was arraigned Friday in connection with an October incident in Adel in which she was allegedly found in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine.

Brittany Lynn Rudolf, 31, of 300 West St., New Virginia, was charged with controlled substance violation and failure to affix drug stamp.

The incident occurred Oct. 12, 2021, in Adel, where Polk County Deputy Sheriffs conducted a “probable-cause search” of Rudolf that disclosed in her purse “a large bag containing methamphetamine,” according to court records.

The quantity of the drug exceeded 5 grams but was less than 5 kilograms, according to court records.

Rudolf allegedly admitted to the deputies that “she possessed the methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it,” according to court records.

A warrant for Rudolf’s arrest was ordered Dec. 17 in Dallas County District Court.

Rudolf was convicted of first-offense possession of a controlled substance in 2014 in Polk County District Court. She was convicted of second-offense possession of a controlled substance in 2019 in Madison County District Court.
