Perry High School students paired up with friends to dress in identical style for “Twins Day” Tuesday. The get-ups were all a part of the ongoing Spirit Week activities being held during the celebration of Homecoming.
A variety of activities will continue throughout the week, with students spending 8:30-11 a.m. and from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. today on various projects around Perry as part of the popular “Volunteer Day.” Perry is believed to be the only school in a wide area that holds such an event.
Thursday will be “Patriotic Day” as students are asked to dress in red-white-and-blue, with Friday class color day. A pep rally and the Homecoming king/queen coronation will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday in the PHS gym, with a bonfire to follow at the Perry Athletic Complex north of McKinley Street.
Also on Thursday will be the Leon Fox Invitational, the only home meet of the year for the Perry cross country teams. Held at the Perry Golf and Country Club, the harriers will begin making circuits at 4:15 p.m. with the middle school races.
