Crisp fall temperatures brought a good crowd to Bouton Saturday morning for the first of the Bouton Betterment Committee’s fall fundraising pancake breakfasts.
The committee served about 200 people in three hours, according to one committee member, who believed the Iowa State football game might have reduced their usual numbers.
The fundraising breakfasts help finance equipment for the fire department and improvements in the city’s streets. Fall breakfasts will also be hosted on Saturday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 5.
