Madrid netters turn back visiting Panorama

MADRD, IA — Panorama dropped a three-game set to host Madrid in WCC volleyball Tuesday. The loss sends the Panthers to 3-10 overall and 0-3 in league play while Madrid improved to 9-13, 3-3.

Cayden Iredale provided all eight assists for Panorama, with Keira Simmons and Jaidyn Sellers each making three kills, Zoey Hambleton two and Jazmyn Sellers and Kelsey Laabs one apiece.

Jazmyn Sellers led the guests with 10 digs, with Hambleton recording seven digs and Elizabeth Snyder five. Jaidyn Sellers and Caitlin Sloss both had four digs, Iredale and Hallie Arganbright two apiece and Simmons and Laabs one each.

Jaidyn Sellers finished with two solo and two assisted block, with Laabs adding two assisted blocks and Iredale and Simmons an assisted block each.

The Panthers served at an 85 percent clip (33-of-39) and finished with six total aces.

Both Sellers sisters were 6-7-2 behind the line, with Sloss 8-8-1 and Simmons 3-5-1. Iredale served 4-of-6, Hambleton 4-of-4, and Snyder 2-of-2.

Panorama plays Pleasantville and host Woodward-Granger Sept. 29 in a triangular that will not be counted as WCC games. Ogden will visit Panora Tuesday, with the Panthers traveling to Anita to play in the CAM tourney Oct. 9.
