The Bluejay Students of the Month program was revived this school year by Travis Landgrebe, manager of the Perry Fareway store and a member of the Perry School Board. Landgrebe presented certificates of recognition and Fareway gift cards to students from each grade at Perry High School.

PHS senior Bryce Anliker was described by one of his teachers as “the most selfless human being I’ve ever met.” Others said that Bryce “will bend over backwards for anyone. He’s hardworking, kind and highly involved at school. Bryce represents what we want our students to be. He is humble, hard-working, responsible, helpful and kind. He is involved in sports and is a member of the National Honor Society. He doesn’t make excuses when he struggles. Instead, he asks for help, and he is always willing to help others.”

PHS junior Nate Lutterman has a deep passion for music and sports. His teachers say that “he works hard in all his classes and sets a great example as trumpet section leader in band.” He is also described by his teachers as “always willing to help, dependable, hard working, positive class leader and the best activities department volunteer of all time.”  Nate is a true BlueJay.

PHS sophomore Owen Myers is very hard working in all of his classes, according to his teachers. He uses his free time at school to help in the counseling office and is also very active in sports. Owen is described by his teachers as “a quiet leader, hard worker and always eager to help others.”

PHS freshman Charity Parnell has transitioned to high school and is active in sports. She sets a positive role model for other students in her course work. Charity’s teachers described her as “hard working, strives for perfection, likes to help others and is an overall good person.”
