Judy Lankford, 74, of Ankeny passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at her home in Ankeny, Iowa. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Judy Kay Lankford was born June 5, 1948, in Jefferson, Iowa, to Herbert William and Iona Darnell (Buchmiller) Lingner.
She graduated from Grand Junction High School and then attended the La James International College of Hair Styling.
Judy was united in marriage to Carson Sinclair and later married Lyle Lankford.
She worked at Rainbow United in Wichita, Kansas.
Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perry.
She enjoyed crafts, making flower arrangements, filling in puzzle books and ironing.
In death she rejoins her husband; parents, Herbert and Iona Lingner; daughter, Nicole; brothers, Donnie Sr., Robert Sr., Elmer “Bud,” Larry, Jack, Wayne and Richard; sisters, Carol Jean and Elizabeth.
Left to cherish Judy’s memory are her children, Carson Sinclair Jr., Sean (Jill) Sinclair and Chane Sinclair; grandchildren, Brittni, Keegan, Nicole, Nolan, Noah, Jeremiah, Shean, Seanie, Gracelynn, Lezli J. and Xoey; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, William “Bill” and Jim; sisters, Karen, Betty and Fern; and many nieces; nephews; and friends.
