An Urbandale woman was charged with prostitution last week after she was arrested at a West Des Moines motel after allegedly soliciting a law enforcement officer on an escort website.
Allie Shannon Hedges, 23, of 7318 Roseland Dr., Urbandale, was charged with prostitution.
The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at a motel in the 6900 block of Lake Drive in West Des Moines, where an officer of the West Des Moines Police Department “made contact with a female, later identified as” Hedges, according to court records.
Hedges “was originally located on an escort website and used terminology, based on the officers’ training and experience, associated in sexual acts for sale,” according to court records.
Hedges “solicited an officer for sexual acts in return for $700,” according to court records.
Hedges was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Dec. 20 in Dallas County District Court.
